A.K.M. Rafiqul Islam FCA was re-appointed as an Independent Director of the Company by the shareholders in the 32nd AGM. Mr. Rafiqul Islam completed graduation under the University of Dhaka in 1957. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1965 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. In 1981 he qualified Cost and Management Accountancy from the UK. Mr. Rafiqul Islam worked for different national and international organization during the tenure of his service life. He was the General Manager of Shadharan Bima from 1973 to 1986. He was the founder Managing Director of Pragati Insurance Limited. He was also the Director of Pragati Life Insurance Limited and Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh (CRAB). He is former director of FBCCI and EC Member of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI). Mr. Rafiqul Islam is having huge expertise in Accounts and Financial Management of the corporate houses. He has also expertise in Business Administration and crisis management.
He has been nominated as Director of Security Management Company Limited in October, 2019.
